In the middle of the South China Sea, the entrepreneurship machine is firing on all cylinders, creating one of the most fertile regions in the world for technopreneurship. Singapore, whose official languages include English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, possesses the capacity to embrace people of multicultural backgrounds from all over Asia Pacific. Despite being an island city state with a population of just 5.5 million, Singapore boasts some of the world’s wealthiest citizens with GDP per capital at US$71,310 indicating strong spending power from its domestic consumers. Most importantly, its geographical location allows it to effectively present itself as a gateway to a population of nearly 600 million throughout the Southeast Asian region.
Established on the 8th of February 2016, our Singapore branch is the latest addition to the Lighthouse8 family. Headed up by Lyndon Yeo, a veteran in the Singapore media industry, we hit the ground running, already supporting several leading companies in the APAC region.
In addition to heading up the Lighthouse8 office, Lyndon also serves as a business mentor volunteer with Youth Business Singapore and is a strong supporter of the creative industries having chaired numerous regional conference and arts exchange programmes. He is the author of a book titled Happy Kids/Healthy Kids that helped raise funds for underprivileged children and has founded Firefly Connections, a social enterprise and media consultancy company that manages CSR programmes and events across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand to inspire others to do what they love and love what they do.
