With 13 world championships and 2 olympic gold medals, the Norwegian cross country skier Petter Northug Jr is one of the most victorious athletes in the history of winter sports. Much has been written about Northug, including his drive to provoke and push the limits. Nevertheless, his strengths on the snow are indisputable and his successes are widely revered. With the launch of his own brand back in 2013, Petter hired lighthouse8 to develop his personal branding, online properties and digital marketing.

In cooperation with the Northug management, we started the partnership with Northug.no back in 2013. After developing the digital marketing strategy and launching the new online store, we worked together with the Facebook team to merge the large number of social media channels dedicated to Petter Northug. In creating one universal personal brand identity, we have ensured that key sponsors like Redbull, Oakley and Swix obtain a strong share of voice in return for their sponsorship investment.
