Trondheim, Norway’s original capital, is home to one of Scandinavia’s biggest research and education communities. From developing some of the world’s leading cancer treatments to inventing the GSM technology that Nokia used to change the mobile industry, researchers in Trondheim have been working since 1910 to develop technological solutions for making the world a better place.
We opened our second office in Trondheim, Norway, located alongside some of the leading companies in the industry, like Yahoo, Microsoft and Google. This has given us access to the city’s tech industry which has a big focus on search and social, built around the University of Trondheim. The Lighthouse8 Ignite project is co-funded by Innovation Norway, the Norwegian Government’s most important instrument for innovation and development of Norwegian enterprise and industry. Our cooperation with the Norwegian government has given us access to a broad business support system as well as financial means.
